Unlike most of the plants that are grown on land, seaweed is full of omega-3 fatty acids. These plants also contain iron, potassium, zinc, magnesium, and a wide variety of other nutrients. If you are not a fan of sushi, then you might want to try dehydrated and lightly salted seaweed as a simple and healthy snack.
Chia Seeds

These unique seeds contain many of the same nutrients as seaweed, but they have a much more mellow taste. Full of calcium and fiber, chia seeds have a nutty flavor that can be hidden in practically any meal imaginable. One great way to introduce chia seeds into your diet is to keep a shaker in your fridge so that you can add them to salads, oatmeal, and smoothies.

While kefir has been around for hundreds of years, it has recently become popular due to a growing interest in probiotics. Probiotics are actually microorganisms that aid in our digestive health, and kefir is full of these bacteria. This tart product can be used as a yogurt substitute, added to smoothies, or eaten by itself.

There are few animal products that are as versatile, tasty, and healthy as eggs. Chicken eggs can be adopted into any meal and cooked hundreds of different ways. In addition to a whopping 6g of protein, each egg contains vitamins A, B, D, and E. Eggs are also full of powerful antioxidants that help regulate and destroy free radicals.
Sweet Potatoes

The vast majority of white and yellow potatoes turn into fries and other unhealthy food products, but their cousin the sweet potato is actually one of the healthiest tubers in the world. Every serving contains an entire day’s worth of vitamin A, 2.1g of protein, and 4g of fiber.
