Start your day off with a delicious, healthy breakfast and plan for a great day. New research and old wisdom shows that some of the simple, non-processed foods will fill you up and keep unhealthy chemicals out of your body.

Avoid Processed Foods and Make it Yourself

Making homemade food is the best way to stay healthy and know what goes into your food. When you are planning your breakfast, think of whole grains, protein, and fruit. These three things will keep you full. Avoid foods that have preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, or ingredients that you cannot pronounce!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal with Bacon

Flavor your steel cut oatmeal with some delicious fresh cut apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and milk. Heat in the microwave for about one minute and enjoy. For some protein to sustain you throughout the day until lunch, cook some uncured bacon and remove excess grease with a paper towel. You might think that avoiding all fat is the healthiest, but having a balanced diet with moderate levels of fat from non-processed sources is good for your body.

Sausage, Vegetable, and Cheese Omelet and an Orange Smoothie

An omelet is the perfect way to get protein and vegetables in a delectable breakfast. Beat two eggs and mix in cut-up green peppers, spinach, and tomatoes. Heat in a pan until the eggs are completely cooked. Add freshly grated cheddar cheese on the top of the omelet until it melts and enjoy with an orange smoothie. To make the smoothie, mix together some plain yogurt, a couple spoonfuls of orange juice concentrate, milk, and ice. Blend together until delicious and smooth.

Whole Wheat French Toast with Blueberries and Honey

Beat two eggs and add cinnamon and a little milk. Dunk whole wheat bread into the egg mixture and heat on a pan until the eggs are cooked completely through. Enjoy your French toast with fresh blueberries and honey. This healthy breakfast will satisfy your hunger and keep you energized.
