If you are always feeling stress, that means your body is always in this mode, which can be dangerous. Overexposure to cortisol can completely disrupt your body’s processes. This can put you at increased risk for things like heart disease, digestive issues, sleep problems and depression. It can also result in weight gain and even memory impairment.

To avoid these issues, find healthy ways to deal with your stress, such as exercise or practicing relaxation techniques. Eating a healthy diet and getting an appropriate amount of sleep can also help you feel less stressed. Fostering healthy relationships is a good idea, especially if the source of your stress centers around a relationship. If the issues run too deeply, you may want to seek therapy. Getting rid of unhealthy stress in life will go a long way toward your well-being and your happiness.
