Five Small Changes, Wellness Advice

Posted on 14. Jun, 2013 by in Wellness

Your health is important and wellness advice tips can help you tremendously. Here are five small changes you can make in your daily life that will have a big effect on your overall wellness and health:

1. Eat small meals every two to three hours.

For many people, three large meals can make you gain weight or not lose any weight. In this case, you should consider eating a small amount of food every two to three hours. This doesn’t mean eating a small cheeseburger every two hours; consider nuts, fruits and vegetables to keep up your energy and help you stay full.

2. Brew coffee at home.

If you find yourself stopping off at coffee shops or your favorite fast food restaurant for coffee, you could be adding a lot of calories. Brewing your own coffee means you control how much of everything you get.

3. Compliment yourself.

Studies have shown that giving yourself a compliment can make you feel more confident and happy. These can be anything, as long as they are good things. Did you walk around the block today or park farther away from the store? Try to find 10 things you like about yourself each day and see how much more confident you feel.

4. Use your pedometer.

We all seem to have one lying around. Use it! Be aware of how much you walk or move, because it is a motivator. Just think: 2,000 steps is about one mile. Go for it!

5. Listen to classical music while eating.

If you’re afraid you eat to much at one sitting, try listening to classical music. We imitate the pace of the music, so we tend to take fewer bites and get full faster.

Try these wellness advice tips. They may be small, but they can help a lot.
