Daily Workouts

Posted on 11. Jun, 2013 by in Wellness

Working out has never been at the top of the average persons “to do” list.  But after forcing oneself to get off the couch and actually raise their heart rate, most find the influx of endorphins an unfamiliar pleasure.  Daily workouts are a great way to stay focused and rejuvenated throughout the day.  Those moments that seem unbearable are the moments to stop and reevaluate. What would make me change my outlook at this very moment?  What will take away this overwhelming feeling of pressure?  The answer is changing your pace, more specifically, you heart pace.  A daily workout doesn’t have to be the grueling 12mile run or 30mile bike ride to be considered a workout.  There are simple workouts that can be done in and around your office at any time of the day.

Creating a plan of breaks throughout the day that divide workouts into small time increments will not only split up the day, they will energize and inspire.  If you take the first five minuets of each work hour to increase your heart rate you will end the eight-hour workday with a 40-minute workout already under you.  These workout breaks can be a combination of cardio and strength training with little to no equipment.  A good routine to start with is 10 push-ups, 30 sit-ups and 20 standing lunges, repeat this for five minuets and see the difference in your attitude.   Taking this small amount of time throughout the day will make more than just your waistline change, you will see yourself being more productive and all around happier. So take the time and try it out, you might be pleasantly surprised at your new appreciation for your job.
