Many people across the country are choosing to change the way they eat. Some are foregoing meat and are sticking with a vegetarian diet that still includes dairy and sometimes even eggs. For many others, however, they are deciding to eliminate all animal products from their diets and are seeing many benefits of vegan health. The vegan lifestyle is not one that is easy to switch to, but the moral and health choices of vegan individuals often makes the time and effort worth it.

For many vegans, one of the first things that they notice when they stop eating meat, dairy, and every other animal products is that their skin begins to clear up. Some experts suggest that a dairy-free diet can help get rid of acne, even cases that have plagued individuals for years. Some vegans even report that their skin seems to glow, because of the lack of toxins in the skin.

Some research has shown that a vegan, plant-based diet can help to lower the risks for many types of cancers. Vegan health experts have even seen males who were diagnosed with prostate cancer have greater success in beating the disease when they removed animal products from their diets. Other chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, can be significantly improved upon. Cholesterol is the culprit for countless heart attacks in the country each year and much of the cholesterol consumed by Americans comes directly from meat and dairy products.
